Frequently Asked Questions
Learn how TourShare works, how tournament hubs help players coordinate travel, and how to use the platform safely for housing, rides, practice, messaging, and player connections.
What is TourShare?
TourShare is a tournament travel coordination platform for tennis players. It helps players connect around tournaments to find housing, rides, practice partners, stringing help, and player contacts before arriving at an event.
Who is TourShare for?
TourShare is mainly built for tennis players who travel for tournaments, including ITF players, college players, junior players, and competitive players looking to coordinate tournament logistics.
Is TourShare free?
TourShare is currently designed as a free platform for players to create profiles, browse tournament hubs, and coordinate with other players.
What is a tournament hub?
A tournament hub is a page for a specific tournament where players can join, see who else is attending, and coordinate housing, rides, practice, stringing, and other tournament-week plans.
Can I find roommates on TourShare?
Yes. Players can use tournament hubs to find other players who may want to split hotel rooms, share housing costs, or coordinate where they are staying during tournament week.
Can I find rides on TourShare?
Yes. Players can coordinate airport pickups, local rides, rental car sharing, hotel-to-court transport, and travel between nearby tournaments.
Can I find practice partners?
Yes. Players can post in tournament hubs or the player feed to find warmup partners, practice sets, hitting partners, and players arriving around the same time.
Is TourShare affiliated with the ITF?
No. TourShare is an independent platform and is not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the ITF, ATP, WTA, UTR, WTN, NCAA, or any tournament organizer.
Should I still check the official tournament page?
Yes. TourShare is only a coordination tool. Players should always confirm tournament dates, entry lists, withdrawals, sign-in times, draws, schedules, and venue information through official tournament sources.
How does player verification work?
Player verification is based on information submitted by the user and reviewed by TourShare admins. A verification badge may help identify real player profiles, but it does not guarantee safety, reliability, or future behavior.
Can juniors use TourShare?
TourShare is not intended for children under 13. Junior players should involve a parent, guardian, or coach when making travel, housing, ride, or meetup decisions.
Does TourShare handle payments?
No. TourShare does not process housing payments, ride payments, deposits, or travel payments. Players are responsible for making safe payment decisions outside the platform.
Is housing guaranteed?
No. TourShare does not provide housing or guarantee roommate matches. It only helps players discover and communicate with other players who may have similar travel needs.
Are rides guaranteed?
No. TourShare does not operate a ride service. Players are responsible for confirming ride details, safety, timing, costs, and backup plans.
What should I include in my profile?
A useful player profile can include your tennis name, nationality, home base, UTR, tournament plans, short bio, contact preferences, and public profile visibility settings.
What should I post in a tournament hub?
Helpful posts include arrival dates, housing needs, ride requests, practice availability, warmup needs, stringing availability, local tips, and tournament-specific questions.
Can I message other players?
Yes. TourShare includes direct messaging so players can coordinate tournament plans privately after finding each other through profiles, hubs, or the feed.
How do reviews work?
Reviews are intended to help players share feedback about real tournament interactions. Reviews should be honest, relevant, respectful, and based on actual experiences.
How can I stay safe using TourShare?
Verify who you are talking to, meet in public places when possible, avoid risky payments, confirm details independently, share travel plans with someone you trust, and report suspicious behavior.
How do I report a problem?
Use the Contact page to report fake profiles, harassment, misleading tournament information, bugs, safety concerns, or account issues.
